Summary

This study tested whether showing health warning messages in a Swedish alcohol sales app could influence people's buying habits and knowledge about alcohol risks. Over 11,700 adult app users were randomly assigned to see either health warnings or standard industry messages for ten weeks. Researchers tracked their in-app purchases and surveyed them afterwards to see if the warnings changed their behavior, knowledge, or perceptions.
