Can Pop-Up warnings in a booze app make you drink less?
NCT ID NCT07116447
Summary
This study tested whether showing health warning messages in a Swedish alcohol retailer's mobile app could influence people's drinking habits. Over 11,000 adult app users were randomly assigned to either see rotating health risk messages or standard industry messages for ten weeks. Researchers tracked their in-app purchases and surveyed them afterward to see if the warnings changed their knowledge, risk perception, or actual buying behavior.
