First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to manage the many alarms in intensive care units (ICUs). Currently, patients can trigger 100-350 alarms per day, but most are false or not important. The goal is to see if a stricter alarm protocol can reduce noise and improve patient safety. About 514 adult ICU patients will take part.
