New Light-Activated cream could zap precancerous skin spots

Summary
This study tests a reformulated cream (Levulan Kerastick) plus a special light treatment (PDT) for actinic keratosis, a common precancerous skin condition. About 160 adults with 4-8 spots on their face or bald scalp will receive either the active cream or a placebo cream, followed by light therapy. The goal is to see if the treatment clears the spots completely by week 12.
