Cleaner air at home: a new hope for rare lung diseases?

NCT ID NCT07417267

Summary

This study is testing whether using HEPA air purifiers at home can help people with cystic fibrosis (CF) or primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) breathe easier. Researchers will give 62 children and adults in Cyprus two air purifiers for their homes to see if cleaner indoor air improves their lung function, reduces symptoms, and leads to fewer health flare-ups. The study compares a real air purifier to a fake one to measure the true effect.
