First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using HEPA air purifiers at home can improve asthma symptoms in children, and if overweight kids benefit more. About 200 children with asthma from Baltimore, half overweight and half normal weight, will receive either real or fake air purifiers. The goal is to see if reducing indoor air pollution helps breathing and to understand why obesity might make kids more sensitive to pollution.
