NCT ID NCT06386055

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This completed pilot study tested whether a 3-month exercise training program could improve blood pressure and perceptions in 6 adults aged 35-55 living in Buffalo. The goal was to understand how physical activity might interact with air pollution exposure. Because it is very small, the results are only a first step.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward simple exercise programs that help people stay active despite living in polluted areas.

What could go wrong

This is a very small pilot study with only 6 participants, so results may not apply to the general population. It is too early to draw firm conclusions.
