AI vs. doctor: the race to spot cancerous polyps
NCT ID NCT06077435
Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) software can help doctors spot and classify colon polyps better during a routine colonoscopy. About 915 patients over age 50 will be randomly assigned to have their colonoscopy done with or without the help of an AI system. The main goal is to see if the AI helps find more pre-cancerous growths and correctly identifies their type, which could lead to more accurate and efficient screenings.
