AI outperforms google for home health advice, study finds

NCT ID NCT07250516

Summary

This study tested whether AI chatbots help people make better self-diagnosis and care decisions for common illnesses compared to regular search engines. Over 6,300 adults in China read short health scenarios and used either an AI chatbot or a search engine to research possible conditions. Researchers compared how accurate both groups were at identifying illnesses and deciding when to seek medical care.
