AI vs. human: which creates better stretches for desk workers?
NCT ID NCT07242287
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares 15-minute home flexibility exercises created by artificial intelligence (AI) versus those designed by human physiotherapists for office workers. Over 4 weeks, 42 participants will do the exercises 3 days a week, and researchers will measure changes in flexibility, back health, and muscle stiffness. The goal is to see if AI can match or outperform human experts in creating effective exercise programs.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- flexibility exercises
- What this could lead to
- If AI-generated exercises prove as good or better than human-designed ones, it could offer a low-cost, scalable way to improve office workers' flexibility and back health.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 42 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The exercises are short-term (4 weeks), so long-term benefits are unknown.
