Can AI Out-Translate google in the Doctor's office?
NCT ID NCT06934031
Summary
This study tested how well three computer translation tools—ChatGPT, Google Translate, and UD Talk—handle medical conversations between Chinese and Japanese speakers. Researchers recorded real patient visits for heart and lung conditions, translated them, and had experts judge the accuracy. The goal was to see which tool works best to help doctors and patients who don't speak the same language.
