Can AI Out-Translate google in the Doctor's office?
NCT ID NCT06934031
Summary
This study tested how well three computer tools—ChatGPT, Google Translate, and UD Talk—could translate conversations between doctors and patients with heart or lung disease from Chinese to Japanese and back. Researchers recorded real patient visits and had professional interpreters and non-native speakers rate the translations for accuracy and errors. The goal was to see which tool might best help overcome language barriers in medical settings.
