NCT ID NCT06791096
First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help primary care doctors find congenital heart disease in children more accurately than listening with a stethoscope alone. Over 200 children from two hospitals in China took part. Doctors used an electronic stethoscope with AI that analyzes heart sounds, and their results were compared to doctors without AI help. The AI system already shows 90% accuracy, and the goal is to see if it can reduce missed cases and improve screening in everyday clinics.
