NCT ID NCT06911398
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system could safely have a medical conversation with patients before they see their doctor for an urgent care visit. About 100 adults spoke with the AI less than a week before their appointment, while a doctor watched over the conversation to ensure safety. Researchers measured patient and doctor satisfaction, conversation quality, and compared the AI's suggested diagnosis with the actual one.
