First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether an AI-powered toothbrush (Xiaomi T501) with pressure sensing and coaching reduces plaque and gum inflammation better than a standard electric or manual brush. 33 adults with plaque-induced gingivitis will brush for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure plaque levels, gum bleeding, and how well participants follow instructions. The goal is to see if smart technology adds real benefit for everyday oral care.
