First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study aims to see if artificial intelligence can predict serious heart rhythm problems in people having high-risk surgeries, such as heart, lung, or liver operations. Researchers will use a portable ECG device to record heart signals before surgery and analyze over 200 different measurements per heartbeat. The goal is to find patterns that can warn doctors ahead of time, so they can better prevent complications. About 300 adults will take part.
