Smartphone app helps MS patients get stronger at home

NCT ID NCT06871072

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) app could help people with multiple sclerosis (MS) do strength exercises at home better than traditional paper instructions. Fifty-eight adults with MS followed a 20-week strength training program. One group used an AI app that guided and tracked their exercises, while the other group used paper handouts with video links. The goal was to see if the AI approach improved muscle strength more than the conventional method.
