AI robot aims to prevent dangerous surgical leaks in cancer patients
NCT ID NCT07371832
Summary
This study is comparing a new AI-assisted robotic surgical stapler to standard staplers during colorectal cancer surgery. The goal is to see if the smart stapler, which uses artificial intelligence to help guide the surgeon, can reduce the rate of dangerous leaks where the intestine is reconnected. Researchers will enroll 200 adults undergoing planned robotic or laparoscopic surgery for non-metastatic colorectal cancer.
