AI boosts kidney drug: personalized dosing aims to double remission

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence program can help doctors give the right dose of the drug rituximab to people with a kidney disease called membranous nephropathy. The disease causes the immune system to attack the kidneys, and rituximab helps calm that attack. However, some patients lose the drug in their urine, making it less effective. The AI will predict who is at risk for low drug levels and suggest extra doses early on. The goal is to see if this personalized approach leads to more patients achieving remission (less protein in urine and better kidney function) after 6 months. About 120 adults with active disease will take part.
