AI eye doctor: smart software aims to perfect lens implants for nearsightedness
NCT ID NCT06669728
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a computer program (a deep neural network) can accurately predict the best lens size and position for people having surgery to correct nearsightedness. About 326 adults aged 18-45 will have their eyes scanned before surgery, and the AI's predictions will be compared to actual surgical outcomes. The goal is to improve safety and reduce the need for follow-up procedures.
