Could your gut bacteria reveal your cancer risk? new AI study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT06174233

Summary

This study aims to develop a better, non-invasive test for predicting colorectal cancer risk. Researchers will analyze the gut bacteria (microbiota) from stool samples of 2,500 adults aged 50-75 who are scheduled for a colonoscopy. They will combine this analysis with artificial intelligence and compare its accuracy to the standard FIT stool test currently used for screening.
