First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence app (IVENUS) could correctly identify the stage of chronic vein disease from leg photos. Over 1,600 patients had their legs photographed, and the app's diagnosis was compared to that of experienced doctors. The goal was to see if the app could reliably classify early-stage vein problems (C0-C2) to help speed up diagnosis.
