AI watches babies move: could it spot problems early?
NCT ID NCT05456126
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) can accurately identify movement problems in infants by analyzing videos. Researchers enrolled 122 term and preterm babies aged 2-4 months. Parents recorded videos at home, and the AI's results were compared to assessments by physical therapists. The goal was to see if AI could reliably screen for motor disorders, not to treat them.
