AI analyzes scans to predict survival in critical lung patients
NCT ID NCT07328997
Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) could help doctors better manage Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a severe form of lung failure. Researchers used AI to analyze chest CT scans from 400 patients to see if it could accurately classify the disease's severity, predict which patients might die within 28 days, and suggest treatment plans. The goal was to create AI tools to assist doctors in making faster, more informed decisions for critically ill patients.
