First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether an AI-powered app called SnapD, which analyzes photos of Thai food to estimate nutrition, can help people with type 2 diabetes and overweight better control their blood sugar. About 45 adults will use the app alone or with a continuous glucose monitor for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if these digital tools improve HbA1c levels compared to standard diabetes education.
