Summary

This study tested an artificial intelligence platform that screens for cognitive dysfunction by analyzing eye movements. Over 1,500 participants, including people with various dementias and healthy individuals, took part. The AI aims to detect cognitive impairment and provide referral suggestions based on the results.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a quick, non-invasive way to screen for cognitive problems using just eye movement tracking.
What could go wrong
This is a completed study focused on developing the AI tool, not testing a treatment. The results may not yet be ready for widespread use.

This is an AI summary of the original study and may miss details. Read our disclaimer.
