AI spots hidden heart disease on routine ultrasound
NCT ID NCT07529860
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study will test whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help doctors find early signs of cardiac amyloidosis, a rare but serious heart condition, on standard ultrasound images. About 200 adults with thickened heart walls will have their ultrasounds analyzed by the AI tool. If the AI flags possible amyloidosis, patients will get additional scans and blood tests to confirm the diagnosis. The goal is to catch the disease earlier so treatment can start sooner.
