Digital twins could revolutionize diabetes care for youth

NCT ID NCT07116902

First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study aims to build an AI-powered 'digital twin' for 50 young people (ages 10-21) with type 2 diabetes. The digital twin will simulate how their disease might progress and how they might respond to treatments. Researchers will then test whether sharing these predictions with participants helps them stick to medications and lifestyle changes better than standard care alone.
