NCT ID NCT07457073
First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study is testing a new way to screen for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) using artificial intelligence (AI) that listens to cough sounds recorded on a smartphone. The goal is to create a simple, low-cost tool that can help detect COPD earlier, especially in places where standard breathing tests are not available. About 3,000 adults with and without COPD will participate, and the AI's accuracy will be compared to the standard diagnostic test.
