First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a short animated video featuring an AI avatar can help children aged 5 to 7 feel less anxious and cooperate better during dental numbing shots. About 70 kids will be randomly assigned to watch the avatar video or receive a standard explanation from the dentist. Researchers will measure heart rate, pain, and behavior to see which method works best.
