Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) can improve the accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound for diagnosing thyroid nodules. Nearly 2,000 participants had both an ultrasound and a biopsy to confirm their diagnosis. Researchers compared how well doctors could identify cancerous nodules with and without AI assistance, with the goal of reducing unnecessary biopsies.
