AI steps into the operating room to cut cancer surgery risks

Summary
This study tests whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help surgeons better predict risks for people having surgery for colorectal cancer. About 1,200 patients across Denmark will be split into two groups: one where the surgeon uses standard methods to assess risk, and another where the surgeon gets AI-powered risk predictions. The goal is to see if AI can help tailor care more precisely, reducing complications and hospital costs while keeping patient outcomes just as good or better.
