AI eye in the scope: cutting missed stomach cancers in half?

NCT ID NCT06495645

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors spot more stomach growths (neoplasms) during a standard upper endoscopy. About 1,000 adults aged 40 and older will be randomly assigned to either a regular high-definition scope or one assisted by AI. The goal is to see if AI reduces the number of missed lesions, potentially catching cancers earlier.
