First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study will develop an AI system that creates 3D models from CT scans to help doctors more accurately stage stage II-III rectal cancer. The goal is to predict whether the cancer has reached the edge of the tissue that needs to be removed during surgery. Researchers will test the AI against standard MRI and lab results using data from 1,500 patients.
