AI gets a 3D view to pinpoint rectal cancer before the knife
NCT ID NCT07183124
Summary
This study is testing a new computer system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create 3D models from patient CT scans. The goal is to see if these models can more accurately determine how far a rectal cancer has spread and whether it can be cleanly removed by surgery. Researchers will look back at medical records and scans from 1,500 past patients to train and test the AI model. If successful, this tool could help doctors plan more precise surgeries in the future.
