Hidden body chemical may explain why some osteoporosis drugs fail

NCT ID NCT07329543

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study will follow 240 women with osteoporosis to see if a substance called AGE that builds up in the body over time affects how well bone-strengthening medications work. Researchers will measure AGE levels using a simple skin light test and track changes in bone density and fractures over a year. The goal is to find out why some people still break bones despite treatment.
