New balloon treatment could fix blocked stents without extra surgery

NCT ID NCT06492174

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a special balloon coated with a drug (paclitaxel) to treat heart arteries that have narrowed again after a stent was placed. About 20 adults with this condition will receive the balloon treatment or standard care. The goal is to see if the balloon safely keeps arteries open longer and reduces the need for repeat procedures.
