Skin glow test may spot hidden sexual health risk in diabetics

NCT ID NCT02770235

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looked at 97 men with type 2 diabetes to see if a non-invasive skin test (AGE Reader) could detect high levels of AGEs, which are linked to erectile dysfunction. The goal was to find a simple way to screen for sexual health problems and improve overall diabetes care. The study did not test any treatment, only measured the connection between AGEs and erectile dysfunction.
