Woody scent tested as sleep aid for exhausted hospital workers

NCT ID NCT07188831

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether breathing in the scent of agarwood (a fragrant wood) while sleeping can help hospital staff feel less tired and sleep better. About 78 hospital workers will use either an agarwood sachet or a placebo (almond oil) sachet near their bed for 7 nights. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug approach can improve well-being.
