Brain study reveals how leg brares change muscle use in kids with CP

NCT ID NCT06532981

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) change the way leg muscles work in children with cerebral palsy. Researchers will measure muscle activity while children walk with and without the brace. The goal is to better understand how AFOs affect movement, which could help improve future treatments. The study involves 30 children aged 6 to 17 who already use an AFO as part of their care.
