First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a 12-week virtual education program for primary care providers in North Carolina to improve how they manage patients with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). 70 providers joined the program, and researchers measured changes in their knowledge and confidence, as well as whether their patients received better blood-thinner medications to prevent strokes. The goal was to see if this training could lead to better, more consistent care for people with atrial fibrillation.
