Shield or hinder? study tests plastic boxes in Life-Saving CPR
NCT ID NCT05868239
Summary
This study aims to find out if using a clear plastic box over a patient's head protects healthcare workers from catching COVID-19 during CPR and other emergency procedures. Researchers will simulate cardiac arrest scenarios with 240 healthcare workers across North America to measure if the box reduces virus-like particles on providers and in the air, and if using it slows down or worsens the quality of care.
