First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 300 adults who had rectal tumors removed between 2015 and 2025. Researchers want to see if newer endoscopic techniques (using a scope through the anus) are as safe and effective as standard abdominal surgery for early-stage rectal cancer. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment with fewer complications.
