New study aims to uncover hidden causes of adult bowel blockage
NCT ID NCT07238166
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at adults with intussusception, a condition where part of the intestine slides into another part, causing a blockage. Researchers want to find out how often the cause is harmless (like a benign growth) versus cancer. They will also check how well CT scans predict the cause and track surgery outcomes. About 35 adults will take part.
