Summary

This study looked at whether methylphenidate, a common ADHD medication, changes levels of brain inflammation markers in children aged 6 to 11. Researchers measured three inflammation-related substances in the blood of 42 children before and after 3 months of treatment. The goal was to understand how the drug might affect inflammation in the brain, not to test if the drug works for ADHD symptoms.
