Ear zap may tune up heart health in young adults

NCT ID NCT07501611

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 60-minute non-invasive ear stimulation (taVNS) can immediately change heart rate, blood pressure, and nervous system balance in 20 healthy adults aged 18-45. Participants will receive both real and sham stimulation in random order to see if the treatment has a measurable effect. The goal is to understand how the vagus nerve affects cardiovascular function in healthy people, which could guide future prevention of heart disease.
