Summary
This study will test if acupuncture is more effective than a placebo for treating major depression. Researchers will compare acupuncture to the antidepressant escitalopram in 216 adults who are not currently on medication. The goal is to see if acupuncture can ease depression symptoms without the side effects of drugs.
