First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding acupuncture to standard pain care can reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers in people with multiple myeloma, Hodgkin disease, or non-Hodgkin lymphoma who are getting high-dose chemotherapy. About 299 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either usual pain management alone or usual care plus acupuncture. The goal is to see if acupuncture helps control pain and other symptoms, and improves quality of life, while cutting down on opioid use.
