Needles in ears aim to cut pain pills after surgery
NCT ID NCT05974254
Summary
This study aimed to see if getting ear acupuncture during wrist surgery could help patients feel less pain and need fewer opioid painkillers afterward. It planned to compare two groups of adults having the same surgery: one group would receive the acupuncture, and the other would not. The main goal was to measure if the acupuncture group used fewer opioids in the two weeks after their operation. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
