Needle therapy tested for stubborn neck pain

NCT ID NCT03859011

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether adding acupuncture to standard medical care helps people with long-term neck pain more than standard care alone. Researchers enrolled 75 adults with neck pain lasting over 3 months to compare pain levels and treatment costs between the two approaches. The goal was to see if a larger, more definitive study on acupuncture's benefits and value for neck pain is practical to conduct.
